Hello...

It's been way too long now. Not much has changed. Yet tons of things have changed. Both of my kids are in high school now. That's huge! Babygirl went through a couple years of Hell and I am so glad she is starting to grow up. Littleman isn't so little any more. He stands 5'11". He had a great awesome wonderful year last year. He had a direction and a drive that was unstoppable. Both kids went to Panama for the summer & came back changed. She for the better and he for the worse.
All his drive and direction seems to have been replaced with the need to be a slacker who wants to get high, get layed, play video games and fail. IMHO he is heading down a slippery slope with very little chance of turning it around. *sigh* He was on the drill team last year and took them to nationals. He was riding that wave of goodness. This year I can barely get him out of the bed. He refuses to go to drill but wants all the benefits it brings. I don't like him very much lately. I hope that changes soon.
She seems to have realized that sneaking out, bad behavior and general rebelliousness doesn't get you anywhere. She is now on the drill team and is involved with her very handsome commanding officer. "Spark" happens to be a little younger than my son but with a lot on the ball and a wonderful future. Good kid, good family, good grades and a great smile.
My job is going good for the moment. I hope we are able to stay afloat through Christmas. Hubby is wonderful as usual :)
Just please let my son be going through a phase and please let this phase be over really soon.

WTF!?

O.K. my children have gone insane. No wait they are both teens and if they are lucky they will live to see their 20s! My dear sweet son loves his Xbox live. We bought him a 3 month subscription. Was that enough? NO! Hubby pulled up his statement and saw there was 4 unauthorized Xbox live charges. $6 here and & $12 there. "Do you realize that you are stealing money? OUR MONEY!?" "Um, no."
WTF!
Hubby went to check on the kids like he always does before he goes to bed and Babygirl was no where to be found and her window was wide open!!! AFTER MIDNIGHT!
WTF!
She was out with her skank-ho girlfriend that she has been forbade to see. I don't know what to do anymore. I have always thought I was a good mother now I am questioning all that. Where did I go wrong and what have I done to deserve this?
NOTHING!
*right?*

Today my son is 15!

Can you all wrap your head around it? I can't!
I haven't seen him since Saturday. He went to spend the night at his friend's house Saturday night for the friend's birthday then they went to Six Flags Atlanta yesterday all day. They got home really late last night and he is still with them. I am going to pick him up this afternoon and give him 15 spanks and a pinch to grow and inch, well, he is 5'10" already... He is my heart.
So Happy Birthday Lovie you are growing up in to a fine young man.
I love you.

Judgment at Neurenburg....

At least that's what it feels like when I go to my children's conferences. Yesterday I went home early feeling like poop. I was a little fever-ie. Every muscle and bone in my body hurt, achy and icky. So the last thing I wanted to do was sit across from the teacher teams to hear how absolutely God-awful my children are. Well some good news from the "judges";
Babygirl is getting A's and B's and is finally coming out of her shell. That's a good thing. They are lucky she even speaks to them in class.
Littleman on the other hand well, the only thing they ever say that's nice is,"he is a really smart, sweet boy." of course after that is the dreaded,"BUT..." But he's lazy, but he's inattentive, but, but, but... MY ASS! He has ADHD, I know this. He is on medication for his ADHD. He does the very best he can with what he has to work with. This is the only time in his whole life that he is doing this well (believe it or not). He is making all B's and C's. They don't have D's at their school, anything below a C is failing. I think he is doing O.K., obviously he can do better, all kids can. But if you have ever watched this boy suffer and struggle as much as he has you would know that he really is working hard. I just don't like the teachers making me feel like a bad parent because he is not like all the other kids. I know he's not, that's why he is in Special Education and has provisions in place to help him get through. He does all the same work as all the other kids, he is fully mainstreamed and the allowences he is given are more time on tests and longer times to turn in homework. Ooohhhh is that so hard for the teachers to understand that it does take him longer. His test grades are out of this world so he is obviously getting it and understanding it. Cut him some slack and I am a damn good parent!
They don't call me Big Mama for nothin you know!

TEENAGE BOYS SUCK!!!

You all know that I love my son with every beat of my heart but damn!
WTF!
He now has math tutoring every M-W-F. I guess I failed to tell him that. He went Wednesday and I suppose he didn't realize this was going to be a regular thing. Well, we got up early this morning and got ready to leave and he asked why we were leaving so early. I told him and he flew off the handle. He ripped off his coat, went in his room and opened his book like he was going to start reading. I told him to get off his ass and get in my car. He did, but he slammed the door and pouted the whole way. As a courtesy I e-mailed his teacher to apologize for his ill temper this morning. She e-mailed me back saying that he never showed up to class.
HE SKIPPED TUTORING!!!
LIKE I WOULD NEVER EVER FIND OUT!!!
I raised a dumbass! Can you believe that?

HAPPY HUMPDAY!!!
*UPDATE*
They lost by a very small margin and Littleman didn't even get to play!
See, they should have let him play after all!!!

I am at work with very little time to blog, ugh! What is wrong with employers, blogging should be mandatory! My Bro2 and SIL2 came up with their spawn this weekend. It was nice seeing them, I haven't seen them in a very long time. I am so worried about my Bro2 though, he is very heavy right now and looks really unwell. I wish he would take care of himself. I will post some pictures when I get time. I don't have a lot of time lately...
Littleman has a game this afternoon. Good luck to him. JV had a game yesterday and creamed the other team, YAY!
Hope you all get your hump on and have a fabulous Wednesday!

THE BIG GAME...

My son has his very first football game tomorrow. I am so excited. He has never joined any sport, ever....in his whole 14 years on this earth. I can't wait to see him play. When I was growing up my brothers both played football for the Daily Mixers (they are a local cement/gravel company). My father watched football religiously, well, he still does. None of my nephews played football and my son is the youngest boy of the bunch so when dad found out that we FINALLY have a footballer in the family he was so stoked! I have to admit that I have always liked football. I understand the game, I know how it's played and I enjoy watching it from the stands. So when he decided he wanted to try it out and see how it's played I was so excited. So tomorrow I can watch my heart running around the football field. Hopefully I will have some good pics to share.

WHEW!!!

I have had a Hellava week.
My folks are still here which is a good thing. Littleman tried out for the football team and MADE IT!!! YaY!!! He wanted this so bad he could taste it!
Babygirl tried out for volleyball and didn't make it, but she's totally good with it, soccer is her sport. She was just trying this as something new. She'll try out whatever the next sport is too... My parents and I were going to go celebrate their 47th wedding anniversary this evening at Lady & Sons restaurant, you know the Paula Dean place... Mom has been wanting to go there for a loooong time. Well at the last minute we found out that all footballer's parents have to be in the gym for a meeting @ 7:00 tonight. YaY! So I called my folks and let them know they are on their own tonight.
So please send good thoughts this way so my son stays in one piece...

HAPPY FRIDAY Y'ALL...

It's Friday and I am feeling a lot better. I am not back to my old self yet, but I am holding down my food. That counts!!! (at this point you have no idea how much that counts...)
Took Littleman to the Dr. yesterday and he is 5'8" & 3/4. and weighs 122 lbs. OMG! When did he grow? That's it, I'm going to put a brick on his head!
Moose!
They start school next Wednesday and all the BS that goes with it *heavy sigh*. Babygirl has declared that this year there will be no drama, lets see how long that lasts. Littleman has declared that he is going to try to be really involved in school activities and sports this year, good luck to him. For that matter good luck to both of them.
Hope you all have a Fabulous Friday!

HAVE I TOLD YOU THAT I AM SO HAPPY TO HAVE MY FAMILY BACK???

I am, BUT they are a messy bunch. My house was immaculate when they were gone and now it looks like a whirlwind happened. I guess I should have expected it.
My son is starting to get back in to his old tricks. I am about to enroll him in a summer program to keep him away from the dregs that he thinks he needs to hang with. There are two boys that are straight out of the movie "Deliverance", they are brothers and as evil as you can imagine. Well my son is a follower and thinks these guys are really cool. So of course he wants to do what they are doing. Lucky us, they live right around the corner from us. What are we supposed to do to keep them away from our kids? There was a house that burned down just before my son left for Panama and the older brother texted him a picture of it. Now I am beginning to wonder if the boy had set the fire... I don't trust them at all. Their parents are almost non-existent as you can well imagine so talking to them won't ever happen. Next thing you know these two will probably start building pipe bombs or start with the whole drug scene.
What is a good mother to do?
I want what is best for my son and I have no idea what to do or where to take him or what to enroll him in. If he made better friends or better choices on his own I wouldn't worry so much. He has always had poor judgment and will probably continue to do so for his entire life. I have a brother that is the same exact way. I want better for him. He is a sweet kid with a great big heart. I love him so much and he just doesn't realize the impact of things.
*sigh*
Wish me luck.

My Son Sux...

Sometimes I hate being a parent.
I know that is an honest statement and as a good parent I should never ever utter those words... He is turning out to be a lot harder to raise than I ever imagined possible. He is being obstinate, unruly and generally unpleasant to be around. I know, I know he is just being a teenager. He mouthed off to his teacher (in a class he's failing) in front of my husband this morning. He is so very lucky they were in public because my husband was ready to beat his ass right there! Looks like he may be repeating the 7th grade *heavy sigh* so that would me he repeats the 6 & the 7th! 5 years in middle school because he is a lazy S.O.B.!
He is taller than me and now sports a mustache, yeah that will go over well (if) when he graduates @20!
I am looking in to military schools for him, looks like that might just be what he needs...
UGH!POO! SIGH!!!
For all you parents out there, I have taken extra steps with my kids to teach them that they mean the world to me but they mean nothing to the world... Their shit does in fact stink and no one owes them a thing. If they want anything they are going to have to work really hard for it like we did. So please don't think the kids are spoiled. They are "almost" always respectful of their elders and peers (I say almost because of this morning's incident). They are usually fun to be around, but I am starting to think I need to change strategy with him. He is turning in to someone I really don't care for.
HELP!!!

*sigh*

Our funding fell through for the pool...
We are going to try again, wish us luck.

Yesterday afternoon I took my son to a local park just to hang and chill. He brought his Ripstik and I brought my camera.

I needed time to enjoy him without the thoughts of school or being grounded or anything else that comes with the daily grind.

He is such a great kid and I know that. I really do appreciate the fact that I am lucky enough to be his mom. (No, that is his ring finger...)

I think about how my nephew is gone and I didn't have more of a chance to savor our friendship. I was very close to my nephew, he loved the fact that I listened to him and never judged him. He could tell me anything and he did. Some things I didn't want to hear, but I appreciated the fact that he felt secure enough in me to confide in me. I only wish I had more time with him.Other than that, I have no regrets.
I want the same with my own son (children). I don't want to have any regrets (so far so good). I don't want his childhood to slip away with us saying I wish I had, I should have or I could have. Childhood is so fleeting and adulthood is forever, no need to push it.

MY SON.....

Is an idiot.
Yep, that's right he is an idiot.
I don't know where he gets it from, not from the hubby and certainly not from me. He just got ISS (in school suspension).
Oh HELL TO THE NO!!!
He got caught on the bus video camera shooting beebees through a pea shooter. O.K. I get the fact that he is 13. BUT this is the kid that is as lazy as can be in school. He works hard trying to get out of doing his work. He is a good kid around the house. He does as he is told, he keeps his room clean, he is a good boy with a big heart. (Yes Penni he is a big HUGE goof...) But when it comes to school he is as lazy as an old dog on a hot summer day. He is completely without any emotion when it comes to school. The hubby got a call from the assistant principal regarding our favorite little shit. *heavy sigh* Now my house is a battle ground. We have tried everything with him, he just doesn't care, not even a little bit.

Any suggestions?

HAPPY 13th BIRTHDAY MY LOVE!!!

Can y'all believe that my Littleman (who's not so little anymore) is 13 today!!!! OMG! When did that happen???

This is the hospital picture that was taken shortly after he was born at Darnell Army Community Hospital on Ft. Hood, Texas.

This one was taken when he was about a year old, what a doll!

He loved to drive his sissy around the house in his van...

Here he's about 2 1/2 such beautiful eyes...
Here he is about 3 years old. I swear he gets cuter by the day.

Of course this is many years later fishing behind his grandmother's house. Still a doll... Here, his papa took him on a tour of the graveyards in Savannah, lame ride, fun time... (bad resolution)

Still silly...

Still handsome...

My heart and soul... I know that I brag endlessly about my children, but I really REALLY like them. They are such nice people with great big hearts. My son, 13 years ago today made his grand entrance in to my life and I was forever changed. From the minute I saw his tiny little self I just knew what real love was. He makes me SO very happy. We have gone through a lot with him. To his credit I have never had to ever deal with behavior issues. I only hope that these teen years that are ahead of us are as wonderful and awesome as his childhood was.

Happy Bithday My Love!

MY BABY....
My sweet little Babygirl had middle school orientation last night. I guess that means she really IS going to grow up. I so enjoy her. I hope she and I always stay close. I fear that when she is a teen she is not going to want to spend any time with me. I guess if that ever happens I will be glad that she is spreading her wings and not NEEDING me. I know she will always love me though.
On another note Littleman want on a dolphin tour field trip yesterday. They had a blast. We had a checkup not that long ago and he grew 3 inches and 8 1/2 pounds since Christmas!!! We are almost eye to eye...
Why oh why do they insist on growing so quickly?!?!?!
