I'M REALLY REALLY HERE...REALLY!
I have been absolutely without question SLAMMED here at work. I have put in unGodley amount of hours here this week. Then I have an obligitory trip to my brother's house for my sister in laws (yes plural) 40th birthdays. I SO don't want to go. I'll explain that blunder another time... Wish me well. I promise to catch up here soon.

HOUDINI DUMBSHIT IS AT IT AGAIN....
Yep, that's right. BG called when she got home and this is how the conversation went;
BG: "Mama, the dog got out again"
Me: "What did she destroy this time?"
BG: "I dunno, but she's all wet"
Me: "Wet with what?"
BG: "I dunno, but it isn't smelly. Mama, the cats are mad"
Me: "Well I would be too if I were them."
BG: "I locked the dog outside. But I don't want the cats to be mad anymore. It makes me sad and I feel like crying."
Me: "Keep the dog outside and get some kitty treats. They have just been traumatized. Give them a little bit. Have you found the source of the wet yet?"
BG: "Nope, all the bedrooms and bathrooms were closed. Are you mad at me?"
Me: "No baby, I'm not mad at you, just a little annoyed with the dog."
BG: "Good, can I have ice cream?"
Me: "Of course, just don't forget your homework."
BG: "I won't, I love you"
Me: "I love you too."
Ah such as my life with the Dumbshit! We have a tow-strap wrapped around her crate today. We shall see how that works....

WHAT HAPPENED THIS WEEKEND???
I had the best of intentions of posting on Friday. Well, you know what they say, the road to Hell is paved with good intentions. I simmed all Friday night, while drinking beer. O.K. folks, I am totally NOT a drinker. I had 4 beers, we had barbecue. The kids were being awesome, you could just feel the love in the air... Well, maybe I was tipsy, LOL!!! Saturday morning the dog (who shall forever be called "Dumbshit") woke up at 5:00am wanting to play. Hubby got up with her, let her out thinking she had to pee. Nope she wanted to bark and play. He made her come back inside before our neighbors even thought of getting up and shooting them because they had to wake up so damn early. He tried to come back to bed, NOPE! Poor guy fell asleep on the couch. We headed out shopping to the outlet stores around noonish. AWESOME! Mama needed a new pair of shoes. Well actually the kids did but I found some for me too. Not to mention I got some shirts too. We had a good time, just the 4 of us with not a care in the world. WELLLllllll........ We got home and I saw through the front window a pink dog tongue. Wait, something doesn't compute... The dog is supposed to be in her crate. We put her in it and locked it. Well we came in to all of the trash all over the floor. My nice hardwood floor was covered with eggshells and flour, etc.... and one very chewed up coke can that was mutilated in to a million pieces. She was SO proud of herself! Not to mention she pottied in BG's room (again) She actually bent the bar of her crate, WTF is that?!?!?! She spent the rest of the day outside.
I have stated before the only reason that we have Dumbshit is because my family wanted a dog "so bad"..... So bad until she does something like this. Well, I can safely say that it isn't MY dog. Although I have to do stuff with it, it is ultimately theirs.
So after having a great morning with the family, my afternoon mood turned to mush! So Babygirl and I simmed some more. On Sunday we had no plans except cleaning out the garage. Soooo hubby did that while I cleaned and cooked. What a nice day! Oh and it was my mommy's birthday. YAY MOM!

I haven't had a chance to even touch the computer. I haven't had a chance to update or comment on others blogs. It has been a whirlwind over here. I hope to be back at this by Friday to post TONS and TONS of new pics taken with my fab new digital camera!!! Hope everyone is doing swell out there...

WOW..IT'S BEEN 5 YEARS...
I can't believe that it's been five years already. I'm sure for a lot of us it seems like just yesterday that 9-11 was burned in to our memories. Most of us can recall what we were doing at that very moment.
I remember visiting the observation deck of one of the Trade Towers when I was a teen. I remember that you could stand right against the window that went all the way to the floor. It was scarey and exhilarating. I have not liked heights ever since, LOL! If you had never seen them in person, you could never ever fathom the size of these massive buildings. I remember being on the outside looking up at them and thinking that they looked like they were leaning over you.
We lost someone that was on one of the planes that hit one of the towers. He had just retired from the priest hood. He had been the local priest for as long as I can remember. I am not Catholic, but he was a major presence in our small town. Very kind and very involved just about sums him up. Like I said, he just retired and was flying out to California for the very first time ever to visit his sister. He had never been to California and was so looking forward to his retirement. He has been missed.

WOW!!! SEEMS LIKE I HAVE BECOME A MONDAY POSTER...
Actually I have a really good reason for my lack of postings lately. Does this
mean anything to you? Maybe this does... Or this....

Yep, that's right! We are now proud parents of a little black lab girl named Allie. Savannah is a military town and I really love it here but... This little pup (she's about 8 months old) was left in the backyard of two soldiers who got deployed. The shelters are full and no one would take her. The soldiers gave a heads up to the rescue people but no one came out. They had no choice but to leave her tethered in their back yard. She was rescued and we (suckers) took her in. She has no house manners (yet) and obvious issues with people leaving her. Not one of us can get up and walk around because she is stuck to anyone that moves. She has had one potty accident in Babygirl's room but that was it.

To be perfectly honest I don't like dogs, never really have. I like other people's sometimes. But I have to admit I am a total cat person. The hubby is allergic to the cats and has wanted a dog for 15 years so I figured it was about time for me to cave before he came home with some HUGE MONSTER TYPE of a dog. She is ok I guess, smells like a dog and my cats are pissed. Hopefully We will all get used to this alien among us.

If you have any advice or thoughts that will make this easier, I would really appreciate it. I want to like her, really!
