I can NOT tell you how happy I am that it's Friday. Of course me and my all consuming work ethics will probably have me in here working on Sunday so this firm looks awesome! That and we have a huge workload on Monday. I hope you all sit back, let the sun shine on your face (with sunscreen) have a cold glass full of your favorite beverage and let your mind wander.

Teen Arrested for Family Stabbing

The search has ended for a wanted teenager who police say brutally attacked his family.
16-year-old ***** is in custody at the ***** County Jail. Deputies say he stabbed his mother, his step-father, and his 7-year old step-brother with a switch blade knife.
The mother and step-father are at Memorial Health, their conditions are unknown, the brother died.
It all happened around 8:30 Friday night on *****Drive, off ******Road. The teen was on the run for more than 12 hours.
Friday night officers combed the woods using dogs and a helicopter with infrared trying to locate him. Law enforcement requested people who lived in the area to stay in their homes with their doors locked throughout the search.
Around 10:30 am Saturday deputies spotted ***** in the woods and arrested him. Neighbors say they are shocked that something like this could happen in their community.
***** was a wrestler at ******* School. He later transferred to ***** School in Savannah and this year returned to ******* High School. Wrestling coach ****** knew ***** well, he was his coach at **** School. "He was a kid who loved playing sports, he was a good kid, competitive. He was a tough kid, never intimidated. He did anything I asked of him. Always say yes sir," said *******.
Coach ****** said students at ***** School are shocked over what has happened.
****** will be arraigned Tuesday morning. He is charged with Felony Murder, Malice Murder, 3 counts of Aggravated Assault, 3 counts of Aggravated Battery, Cruelty to a Child, and Possession of a Knife or Firearm during the commission of a crime.

My daughter came home from school yesterday and asked what murder meant. My baby, my innocent little child told me that they had a moment of silence in school and they had grief councilors. Then she asked me the question that I could NOT answer. "Mama, why did that little boy have to die?" I told her,"His mommy is going to need an angel right now and that was the only thing that God could think of to do for her. So he is her angel and will take care of her while she is dealing with all the sadness of missing him and hurting for her other son." She seemed satisfied with that answer,

I GUESS #14 ISN'T LUCKY?!?!?!

My parents came up and jinxed the game, I mean watched the game with us. That was cool...

Unfortunately we were playing against another red team and being the kind sweet sportspeople that we are decided that we would don the green jerseys. Unfortunately someone else got to #13 first so Babygirl got the next best thing #14.

She did play really well and enjoyed herself, but they did not win, the final score was 3-1. She was so sweet about it,"Big Mama somebody has to win..." Out of the mouths of babes. I swear she wraps herself tighter and tighter around my heart every day.

This "dust devil" decided to give us an unscheduled break. Game resumed shortly thereafter...

HEY EVERYONE...HAPPY FRIDAY!

I just can't tell you how much I needed this weekend. Granted I had a 4 day week, but that wasn't nearly enough! I haven't had a good chance to get on this thing and actually write anything worth reading in a very long time. The hubby and I were talking about going to Vegas for my 40th b-day (June 1st mark your calender).

I think we are going to have to postpone that until maybe next year. My kids are probably going to spend the summer in Panama this summer which means 4 round trip tickets to Central America and you know we need spending money.... Everything there is so inexpensive!!! I just HAVE to shop. My grandmother-in-law is going to be 92 this summer and is one of the most awesome people I know. She just had a little bout with the flu (made me think) and I want to make sure and see her and love on her and let her know just how much she means to me. I miss my own grammie very much and I would give just about anything just to have her back one more day to let her know how much I really loved her.

O.K. that was sad!

But really it's the truth.

Anyway, I fear letting my horny little son on the brink of puberty out of my sight and in the midst of beautiful young Latina girls *sigh* I know he needs to grow and junk, just not yet!!! I am the MAMA and I am not ready!

Any ideas on what I should do on my birthday? Anything??? Seems like you won't get a visitor this year Scott, but it's not for lack of want, I promise. Anyone want to come here and visit me???

HAPPY SATURDAY....

I have never been so glad it's Saturday in my whole entire life! I just came out of the week from Hell at work. I am going to take Monday off because I am sick of going in to work and dealing with a buncha brainless, ignorant good for nothing, losers. Let me give you the rundown.

I love my boss, he is a wonderful person and a great lawyer so he is excluded..... BUT!!! We have another attorney that is a great kid. He is like my bratty little brother. BUT he is always schmoozing people. I am not a schmoozer. I like the free lunch, but I am not taking you golfing to get your business. Call it principals.

We have another attorney, went to Harvard and is very intelligent, but he is scare of me. He really is, (ME of all people) he is afraid to ask me questions. Whenever I raise my voice he turns tail and escapes before he gets called out.

The OTHER attorney is a big quiet gentle man that I don't deal with very often. He can't even make a copy for himself. He is a slob and I thank God all the time that he is NOT MY attorney.

Now for the rest of the cast.

The big slob attorney had a great secretary, she is pretty and has absolutely no idea how sweet she is. I like her a lot.

The scaredy cat attorney had a secretary (who happens to be the daughter of one of the other secretaries) who is sweet, quiet and a good girl.

That was the litigation team...

NOW on to the rest of the girls.

We have a self proclaimed "office manager" the woman is a cockroach. She is skanky, she is a grandma, she is on a constant power trip, she is the epitome of white trash and when she is not at work, she has a bar stool stuck up her butt. Why she still has a job is beyond me.

My boss has a secretary and has had her for over 16 years (she is the mother of the other secretary). She is very disorganized but knows her job and people love her.

Another girl who does that same job happens to be my bosses wife's sister. She is a Yankee like me. I like her a lot but she too is extremely disorganized. She is always making excuses for everything and everyone. Then there is the wilting lilly of the bunch. She has been there for about 20 years. Without her, that place would fold. She is smart but a complete and total PAIN IN THE ASS. She is always sick with something or another. She preaches constantly about religion, politics, her children or whatever is floating her boat that day. Half the time I am saying to myself,"just shut up already, I'm not listening, I am going to hit you......HARD!" But of course I just agree with her in hopes that she will just go away.

We have a receptionist who is a moron. She just turned 19 and had just started school because she wanted to become a Dr. Ummm... just found out she is pregnant and was bummed until she realized that they really DO make maternity bathing suits so she is all good with it now (I fear what this world is coming to).

Then we have a runner that hand delivers and pick things up for us. She is really smart and does as she is told. She is feisty and beautiful, I think she is going to go far in life. She has the drive and determination.

So now you put all those people and personalities is one little tiny office and that is my day to day working environment. It is really hard to go to work sometimes. I am so glad I have Monday off and to be away from this cast of characters.....

Went out to dinner last night, there were 5 of us, out bill came to $205.00 and the service SUCKED, the food was nothing to write home about and they never did bring me my very expensive doggie bag. They sat us at a table for 4 and put a chair on the end (I hate that). I will never go back. It was not good. Not to mention people are stupid. I think that is a given anyway but these morons (4 different tables worth) brought their little children and let them run all over the place, screaming, rolling on the floor, etc. Excuse me, but take them outside if you can't contain them. I am not going to spend this kind of money and have to deal with that. We were there 3 1/2 hours Our waiter was strange and not very good. He was definitely a character when we saw him.... So I would advise anyone within reading distance, never ever ever (and I repeat) NEVER go eat at Sam Sneeds. It is a horrible and expensive experience.

WELL....

Big Mama is getting glasses..... Yep, I will post pics when I get them. Of course I just HAD to pick out frames that weren't in stock. So, I have to wait a few days to get them. UGH! I told you that turning 40 isn't all that fun after all. Hopefully they will all be done picking on me by my birthday and I will float through without issue.

Well, my hubby took Babygirl in to see the eye doctor this morning. Yep, she needs glasses. She is not too happy about this. I mean she is just hitting puberty which just stinks in and of itself. She is discovering boys and hoping they discover her. This is throwing a wrench in her works, LOL!!! She is so pretty that I can't imagine they will look anything but beautiful on her. Listen to me, do I sound like a mom or what! I will add pics when I get a minute.

I have been feeling ok. They put me on some sort of BP meds and now I have insomnia, YAY! I don't know which is worse, LOL! At least everything is funny to me all the time now.... I have another Dr. appt tomorrow for (MY eyes this time). So you may see me in specs too...
