HAD COMPANY THIS WEEKEND...

Oh and today is my birthday, I am 38 again...
Yay me.

2 THINGS...

Some of you may already know, but I have been pretty quiet thus far. It is painful but now is the time I feel I must share. It has been almost a month now that my beloved Alli has taken a leave of absence. When we were vising my brother for his Baptism Alli decided to wander. She is a girl with a driving need to travel. She has taken off before only to be back in a matter of minutes/hours and in some cases days. She always managed to find her way back to us. We have combed the area. We have driven around looking for her and even notified animal controls in 2 different counties. Of course all this was to no avail.
Alli is gone and I don't see her coming back anytime soon.We miss you, you big goober.
I hope one day you find it in your heart to come back to us. We are your family and we love you very much.
On a good note, I went to the local Humane Society (looking for Alli) and found a dog that is already part of our family. I knew it the minute I met him. He is so cute. I talked to the hubby and I even brought him over there so they could meet. Now mind you I am technically NOT a dog person. I like other people's dogs and I would really like a "pocket" dog. But I totally prefer cats. Alli was a good dog to have around. She was so protective of her people and she was fun to play with. I miss the old dork. Since I have an acre of fenced in yard, I decided that this homeless pup needs to come live with us. They named him Chance, but I am going to call him Pedro...
If or when Alli ever does come back, we will welcome her home with open arms and enjoy having 2 dogs.


Oh and on an almost unrelated subject, I totally have the hots for Cesar Millan... You know, the dog whisperer. Yeah, I would totally go there... Yeah so what... At least I know what I like...

*Quickie Update*

Hubby is still in Panama. Had an oxygen saturation sleep study done last night. Had my biopsy a day early and got it over with this morning. My boob looks like hell and it won't stop bleeding but all in all everything is good. They weren't able to get it all so they will test what they have and if it's benign they will leave it alone. So I don't think I will have to do that again...

I get it O.K.!
I had one last Wednesday. Then on Thursday I get a call that they needed me to come back in. O.K. so I went back in yesterday. They Xeroxed me again and put me in a little waiting room. Whew glad that's over. Then the tech pokes her head around the corner and says the radiologist wants another view and to step back in to the torture chamber, err, I mean the imaging room. So they squash it 3 more ways that I didn't even know was humanly possible. Then I was sent back to sit some more. Well long story short (if that is ever possible with me) I have to go back Thursday for a biopsy. Do they not understand that I just did a 5K on Saturday for breast cancer, therefor I am immune.... O.K. well, it was worth a shot. I don't think it's anything and I'm sure when they get the results back they will tell me the same. Oh and it doesn't help that the Hubby is out of the country until Monday. I do O.K. when he is out of town but I wouldn't mind if he gave me a call.

Thank God it's Friday. We have had an auditor in here all week. We have had 4 since November. I guess that's what happens when people rob you of hundreds of thousands of dollars. I know I don't do anything wrong, but it makes me look at the girls I work with and wonder what they are up to. I highly doubt any of them would do anything. But then again the girls who took from us before seemed to be on the up and up. the audit went well and I'm not worried. I just hate to have to be on my toes. Sometimes I just want to sit back, chill and do my work.
A very strange thing happened to the hubby and I yesterday. We were on our way out and he asked me to remind him to go to the auto parts store on our way home. I told him there was no hurry so why don't we just pop in there on our way. We pulled in and he got out of the car. As soon as he stood up a woman got out of the SUV next to us and gave him a big hug. That was odd. He motioned to me to get out and meet her. It just so happens it was a woman that he went to school with that was a good friend of his sister. In fact he went to the prom with her. That was cool. We are going to their place on Saturday for a cookout. We met her husband and he was very handsome. We also got to meet their 3 children. That was just by chance. After we parted ways I called my sister in law and told her all about it. She said that she had just talked to this lady the night before. Wow! I love when good things happen. HOME AGAIN!


Well, T-Mom is home and extremely uncomfortable. But hey she's home and the plumbing is working. I haven't been over to the house to bother her yet, but I have talked to her on the phone. I wanted to give her time to settle in before exhausting her with my presence.

So back to me (remember it's all about me). All 4 of us went to the gym on Saturday to do some family workout. It was good except I forgot to take my BP meds that morning and I ended up not feeling too good. Then just as we were getting ready to leave the tornado sirens blared. So we had to evacuate. That was strange. We left and it was raining a little. We live about 6-7 miles from the gym and about 1/2 way home the rain was torrential! I could not wait to get home. I was a little sore, but nothing terrible. Well, yesterday Littleman and I went to downtown Savannah to take pictures for a project he needs to do for school. We walked for a very long time, then met up with some friends of mine for dinner. Can I just tell you that my legs are screaming at me right now!!! My thighs are killing me. All because I wanted some family time. *heehee* maybe the gym wasn't such a smart idea. I am ultimately sedentary you know...

MOTIVATION???


What motivation, I have none. Is it just me or does anyone out there feel like a steaming pile-o-poo? I mean it takes all the energy I have just to get up in the morning. It is unreal. What's worse is going to bed at 7:30 and sleeping until morning and waking up tired. That is so very wrong. I am hoping that this will pass soon because I am so tired of being tired. We had company this last weekend and more company on St. Patty's Day but it wasn't too much or too many. It was really nice actually. I just feel drained. Kinda strange since I am more of a high energy kinda person.
Hmmm....

Lack of Enthusiasm & Random BS...

Usually I am full of energy and life, but for some reason, I am exhausted. All this week I have come to work and done very little. Oh, I have a lot to do and more is piling up by the day. I think I am having burnout.
My daughter forgot her books this morning and I was well on my way in to work. I turned around, headed back home cuss-texted her, got her stuff and headed to her school. I called the boss to let him know I was going to be late. I was 40 minutes late, everyone was here and it was still ME who unlocked the front door. What if I hadn't come to work at all? Oh and yesterday I started a fire in the kitchen here at work. *sigh* I thought the toaster oven was off... oops... We were able to put it out but it stunk up the place. Sorry.
I don't know if you all know this but I play The Sims 2. I have been playing it since 2004. Well, my game crashed and I have lost 5 years worth of work *sigh* that might be a part of my moods lately. We even restored the computer to an earlier date, but all was lost.
My son got a phone call the other day from the football coach at the high school. He has been recruited for the JV team for his freshman year. How cool is that? He has to go to weight training for the next few months. He is really liking it. I am loving it for him.

I swear I can't believe it's Monday already. I took Friday off and stayed home out of the rain. Best decision I have made in a long time. They didn't really need me here at work and even the ducks were unhappy at the amount of rain we were getting. I am so glad we got the rain, we really needed it. I don't mind having it rain steady and nicely. It was just NASTY on Friday thanks to Fay...
I was able to finish up all the laundry and clean a bit. It felt so good to not have anything left to do around the house. Saturday we went to a fund raiser to raise money for a friend of the family who is 14 and was diagnosed with Leukemia. If you head over to my Flickr you can see pics of my son getting his head shaved for the cause. He was the first one in the chair. My husband did it too. Which I don't need to tell you was completely unnecessary since he is already bald. But of course it was $10.00 to the cause. No! There was no way in Hell I was shaving my head, um, nope! They had a blood drive and I tried to donate but they wouldn't take it because I lived in Europe in 1996. WTF! The Red Cross takes my blood every chance they can get. They are blood suckers!!! Whatever! At least I tried.
Sunday I went with my GF to see the Pineapple Express. Um yeah, it's a stoner movie and I love stoner humor but DAMN this was violent!!! We went to the 2:00 because it was cheaper. That was about it. Hope your weekends were eventful and fun.

Oh and I also wanted to thank all of you who supported me when I was feeling down last week.

Just ONE Question...

Do I look like a big.....fat......huge...ENORMOUS person to you? Tysgirl has seen me in real life so she can answer this one with all honesty. I know that I can stand to lose maybe 30-35 pounds but I wouldn't call myself a TWO TON TESS!!! But alas it is the time when everyone is thinking about bathing suits and shorts and such awful attire. My very dear friend T-Mom has roped me in to;

Either go to Weight Watchers with her or join karate (the same class as the hubby). I don't want to do either!!! I am fine just like I am. My clothes fit and I am healthy. So I took the lesser of the evils soooo I am going to go to Weight Watchers (UGH-ICK-SIGH-POO! &^$%@*!)

On a side note we (or should I say the hubby) painted the LR a nice medium tan color and has trimmed it in white. When it's finished I will post some pics because it is going to be freaking beautiful! He still has some more crown molding to go up...

It's Friday and I am so glad that the weekend is here! I need to clean but you know what? I don't want to so I'm not!
Hubby is putting new crown molding up in the (freshly painted) living room. Can't wait, it is gonna be awesome! Saturday I am going to hang with a friend of my daughter's mother.... yeah think that one through for a minute.
