QUICK RANDOMNESS.....

I was driving to work yesterday morning, just sitting in non-moving traffic. As I usually do, I looked in my rear view mirror to see what the person behind me looks like (yeah, like you all don't do that!) and the person looked JUST LIKE "Smokey McPotterson"! I kid you not, they had that strange shaped loppy chin thing going on, short dark hair and everything! I was staring at them, really. Then the person leaned forward and I got a better look at them.....
IT WAS A WOMAN!!!
A poor unfortunate looking woman to be exact.

TEENAGERS..... (a followup)....

Someone once told me that you are only as happy as your saddest child. I believe that with my whole heart. Last week Babygirl was gliding through life happy as can be. She had a little friend who (up until now) I like very much. She is at our house at least once a week if not more. She comes from a good home. Her parents are really sweet. She makes good grades and has lots of friends. Up until Sunday this girl was my daughter's BEST BFF ever. She left Saturday and everything was just fine. All of a sudden she got a hair across her ass and started being really hateful to my daughter. I asked Babygirl what was going on. Now, BG has lots of friends, boys, girls and different ages of each. She hates drama and is a total straight shooter. She always tells everyone exactly how she feels, no holds barred. She has this one guy friend that lives down the street (who is also friends with my son). She tells this boy to his face that he is weird and they laugh about it, big deal right? Well, this friend and she were going to play with the boys and the friend decided that she doesn't like this boy. BG stated,"that's O.K. he's weird anyway...." not another thought to the whole thing. Well, that was until this little girl brought it up and said,"If you said that about him, what do you say about me behind my back? You're two faced and I never want to play with you again...." My daughter was stunned and hurt. This is her best BFF ever. She would never say anything behind her back that she would never say to her face. Now when BG tries to text her or call her, nothing. My daughter has every class with her and she hurts every time she sees her. I told her that if she is really a real true friend she will miss you come back to you eventually. I told her the best "revenge" is to be happy and act like it doesn't bother her. In the meantime I want her to branch out and invite other friends to the house and start making new BFFs. I have a feeling that another little girl who is friends with them both has started the whole thing. Nothing a mother can do to relieve the pain. Growing pains suck!
Ahhhh, teen drama. The rotten middle school days. I remember them not so fondly.
If anyone has some words of wisdom, please clue me in. I am sad and lost for my baby.

Judgment at Neurenburg....

At least that's what it feels like when I go to my children's conferences. Yesterday I went home early feeling like poop. I was a little fever-ie. Every muscle and bone in my body hurt, achy and icky. So the last thing I wanted to do was sit across from the teacher teams to hear how absolutely God-awful my children are. Well some good news from the "judges";
Babygirl is getting A's and B's and is finally coming out of her shell. That's a good thing. They are lucky she even speaks to them in class.
Littleman on the other hand well, the only thing they ever say that's nice is,"he is a really smart, sweet boy." of course after that is the dreaded,"BUT..." But he's lazy, but he's inattentive, but, but, but... MY ASS! He has ADHD, I know this. He is on medication for his ADHD. He does the very best he can with what he has to work with. This is the only time in his whole life that he is doing this well (believe it or not). He is making all B's and C's. They don't have D's at their school, anything below a C is failing. I think he is doing O.K., obviously he can do better, all kids can. But if you have ever watched this boy suffer and struggle as much as he has you would know that he really is working hard. I just don't like the teachers making me feel like a bad parent because he is not like all the other kids. I know he's not, that's why he is in Special Education and has provisions in place to help him get through. He does all the same work as all the other kids, he is fully mainstreamed and the allowences he is given are more time on tests and longer times to turn in homework. Ooohhhh is that so hard for the teachers to understand that it does take him longer. His test grades are out of this world so he is obviously getting it and understanding it. Cut him some slack and I am a damn good parent!
They don't call me Big Mama for nothin you know!

OPEN LETTER....

This is an open letter to all shitheads. If you are a shithead, listen up! If you think you're not a shithead and you are reading this and you realize that you are in fact a shithead, apologize to me, someone, ANYONE!

Dear Shithead,

You are not an attorney, you are a lowly nobody, less than the dirt on my shoes. If I hang up on you, that means that I do NOT want to talk to you, do NOT call me back. Our attorneys get paid lots of money so they can hire us, their secretaries to intervene between you and them. The secretaries know far more about what goes on in the office and how the law works than most of the attorneys do. Get over yourself. The next time you call, I will hang up on your ass again. No need to shout, no need to be rude or offensive, just go away and slink off to that rock you crawled out from under.

Thank you and have a nice day,

Sincerely,
Me, Big Mama, Ruler of all that is just and good!

DO YOU ALL KNOW RUBY?
Ruby is a local star.

You could say that she is a hero to many. Well, guess what? I met her yesterday. I went to the Southern Woman's Conference. I was so excited to meet her. I have watched her show on the Style network since the beginning. Most of you know that I don't watch much TV if at all. I can't stand reality shows at all. But in the case of Ruby I will watch that no matter what.
She is so sweet and I just know that she is as genuine as can be. I am even a bigger fan now.
Oh and as soon as I can figure out how to get pictures off my cell phone and put them on here I totally will!

DO YOU SEE THIS COUPLE???

If you see them out and about today, wish them a Happy 17th Wedding Anniversary.
That's right, you read it correctly that is 17 wonderful years. My better half does not read this blog, I don't think he even knows about it. But if he did, I would tell him that my life with him has been more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. He is my rock, my soul mate, my best friend and my comedic relief.
I love you much more than the day I married you. Happy Anniversary baby.
