DO YOU SEE THIS COUPLE???
That's right, you read it correctly that is 17 wonderful years. My better half does not read this blog, I don't think he even knows about it. But if he did, I would tell him that my life with him has been more wonderful than I could have ever imagined. He is my rock, my soul mate, my best friend and my comedic relief.
I love you much more than the day I married you. Happy Anniversary baby.

HAPPY FRIDAY!
I took yesterday off just because.
Now I am here with very little work to do so I decided that blogging was far more important than these deeds that need to get to the courthouse... Yes, I am being bad, but it's A.O.K. The Hubby's birthday was very uneventful, well, that's what he gets for not making a big deal of mine last year. He went to the Dr. and has a hernia between his breast bone and his tummy button. Yes, the full length of his stomach. So he has an appointment on Monday. Wish him luck. Now let me tell ya, my hubby has the best looking abs in the world. I love it! I hope they don't scar it, it is such perfection (minus the hernia of course). He works out 6 days a week, it was bound to happen.
Anyway on a different note... My dumb dog ran away last Friday and we just got her back Wednesday. I didn't want to say anything until now because I just wanted her to be home and safe before I say anything. She is such a dork! Hopefully one day she'll figure out that being the happy wanderer is not all it's cracked up to be.
We went to the kid's parent/teacher conferences yesterday.....
We met with Babygirl's teachers first and they gave rave reviews!!! They all said they would love to have her laugh and cut up a little more. They all said she is way too serious, LOL!!! Then it was the time I dread.....every......year..... We went to meet with Littleman's teachers. The first teacher we talked to happens to be his history teacher AND his football coach. He is getting a B+ in that class. WOW! This is great. Then we talked to his math teacher who happens to be in LOVE with him and was singing his praises. I mean she was gushing about how much fun he is to have in class and how he always has his homework done....blah, blah, blah... WOW that's a switch! Then his English teacher came in, more of the same happy goodness, followed by his science teacher with more of the same!!!
OMG! Have aliens invaded my home and what have they done with my kids!???
I am so very proud of both of them, they are working really hard this year.
Oh and a side note, Littlman's team won on Wednesday 44-36 in double overtime! YAY!!!

QUICK UPDATE...
Well yesterday was a fun one... I had a looong day at work. But not nearly as long as the hubby. One Wednesday a month he is required to work late, well last night was his "late night". I usually leave a light on for him. I also have a really bad habit of leaving on my bedroom light. I have fallen asleep with my light on since way back in the day when he was in the Army and deployed.
When he comes to bed he turns it off....
Well, last night I had the outside Christmas lights on and my bedroom light on. I figured he would be home around 10:30-11:00. Well, I fell asleep, had a very disturbing dream only to wake up (with a start) a little after 4:00 and my light was still on. His side of the bed was still made and I FREAKED! All I could think of was he was in an accident or something. I felt like I was going to vomit. I quickly dialed his cell and
THANK GOD!
He is O.K.
One of the systems they were working on at the hospital (where he works)....crashed. Poor guy didn't get home from work until 10:30 this morning. One of my biggest fears is losing him. I love him so much, he is my rock. I almost lost him about 4 years ago and the thought of really losing him almost sends me over the edge.
SO NOT TO FEAR MR. BIG MAMA IS A.O.K.
Of course I am exausted but oh so very happy that all is right with my world.

HERE ARE SOME PICS OF BIRTHDAY NIGHT...
Here are my Hubby and R-pop opening up their tickets to the awesome Van Halen Concert that we (the wives) gave to them for being great hubbies.
Gotta love that smile!
Have I ever mentioned how very blessed I am to have a great family and wonderful friends? Yes that includes my "online" friends as well. I feel like one of the luckiest people on earth. No, I just KNOW I am!

O.K. TONIGHT IS HUBBY'S BIRTHDAY DINNER...
We are going to T-mom's house although I will be doing all the cooking. I will be teaching her all the traditional Panamanian foods that my hubs likes. I would tell you what the food is, but I can't spell them....
Oh and for his gift that I DID NOT BUY HIM & IS NOT FOR HIS BIRTHDAY! we are giving the hubbys tickets to see Van Halen in concert. I don't think my hubby has ever seen a concert before... I can't wait to see the look on his face.
Oh yeah, I know I rule!

THIS POST IS DEDICATED TO THE MAN I LOVE....
Look, I know he doesn't read this blog. Hell, he doesn't even know that I have a blog. This is my very own secret. I guess we all need to keep a little something that is just ours. Today is our 15th wedding anniversary! Yep, that's right the hubby has put up with all my quirks for longer than that. He is da'MAN!
He is the kindest most gentle soul I have ever known. I wish each one of you could meet the man, the legend (heehee). He is my opposite and my equal he is a good balance for me. He's beautiful.
We laugh all the time and he really makes me believe that I am worth it.
I almost lost him on April 4th, 2005. He was racing his motorcycle on a private track.

There were a few amateurs there and unfortunately one of them got right in front of him going in to the first turn. He avoided hitting the guy but his motorcycle hit the pea stones and took the wheels right out from under him. I was not at the race. I was home with the children, 4 hours from him. I got the phone call everyone dreads. He never got back up. He was being airlifted to the trauma unit. My heart sank. I am crying as I am typing this... No one could tell me anything. I called the hospital. They wouldn't tell me anything. I got in my car and headed south on I-95. Unfortunately there were wildfires blowing across the highway and they stopped traffic, so there I sat. We were at a standstill. I couldn't think straight. I called my brother who lives in Jacksonville (who happens to be married to my hubby's sister). The were just about to walk out the door. They were less than 15 minutes from the hospital. They called me when they got there to let me know that he was still alive but that was all they knew.
I have never felt so alone in my whole life.
A normal trip there would take 2 hours. It took me almost 6. Lucky for me he has recovered and the only thing he has now is residual headaches.
He is still my rock. He is still in one piece and I thank God everyday that we wake up next to each other. I know most of you come here for a good laugh or to read about another misadventure of one of the kids. Very rarely to I ever talk about the hubby. He is one awesome person. I am so blessed to be able to say that I married the man of my dreams.
Happy Anniversary Baby, I love you more than you will ever know!
