HAPPY THANKSGIVING FOLKS!


Sorry my posting is so few and far between. Life is happening around me... We are heading down to my mom's house for TG dinner. We invited a couple to my parent's house, that's kind of strange but it is what it is. He is a friend of my husband from Panama. My oldest brother won't be there tomorrow because his stepdaughter has to work and they don't want to leave her alone. I understand, but I will still miss him. I am making corn casserole and mac & cheese. The hubby is making empanadas. Let me tell you...my hubby CAN COOK!!! He's handsome, smart, kind and can cook, did I luck out or what!? We are packing the car tonight and rolling out bright and early.

We are having issues at work and I can honestly say that I have a job today. I can only hope it lasts. It is not because of the lame excuse,"it's the economy"... It's because of a thief. We will pull ourselves up by our bootstraps and get this place rocking and rolling again. I keep telling myself that and soon I will start to believe it.
Hope you all have a fantabulous wonderiffic Thanksgiving! I know I will, I am surrounded by an awesome family, good friends and a wonderful life.

My family is almost home! The hubby called from Atlanta to tell me that they are safely in the U.S. but the plane has been delayed (of course). So I should expect them around 9:00 tonight (instead of 7:30 *pout*). I am so excited to see them, I miss them soooo much.

Please wish them a safe and uneventful return.

I MADE IT BACK, SAFE AND IN ONE PIECE.....

I wish I could say the same for Fred. Poor, poor Fred may he rest in peace. Fred one of the five Guppies that I so proudly placed in my new aquarium... missed me so much when I went away this weekend, he ended his life... Well, that's what I like to think, but reality shows that the person responsible for taking care of my animals and feeding my fish fed them about 1/2 a can of fish food.

*insert heavy sigh here*

Poor little thing was laying on the bottom of the tank, the nasty, cloudy, scummy looking, fish-food-filled tank. So after driving 1/2 the day and night, we had to come home take care of our immediate needs, then vacuum the tank. Oh yeah that's what I want to do after spending a weekend with my family (joy). This morning the tank was clear and the fish appeared to be happy.

Oh and my dog wet her bed sometime in the middle of the night. That was so out of character for her, I hope she's O.K.

I will update further when I am not at work....

WE'RE BAAAACK.....

Let me just start this with I AM SO GLAD TO BE HOME. I had a blast! I have tons of pictures to post but my computer at home is giving me fits!!! Give me time and when I get rid of the viruses that are in there I will be able to really get this thing rolling.

We went to Universal Studios the day before Thanksgiving. Let me tell you that the Hard Rock Hotel has the BEST Thanksgiving dinner ON EARTH! The park was full but not crowded. My kids were perfect little people the whole trip and I was having a great time. I will fill you in more when I am not at work. Please go check out my Flickr to see a couple of pics....
